For all joinery and panel applications, from cabinets
to doors, stairs
& windows, the right specification of CNC router will reduce unit
costs,
ensure repeatable quality & provide greatly increased flexibility
and
shorter lead times. Whether the machine is for additional capacity,
a
new process or the first venture into the use of CNC router technology,
CDE and SAOM will discuss your requirements and customise a proposal
at a competitive price.

The UK sale of SAOM CNC routers, manufactured
by the same family
company for decades, has steadily increased since the re-introduction
of the product by CDE Machinery in 2006. Machines with three, four
and five axes, with bars and vacuum cups or rexilon tables and with
one or more electrospindles are fully operational.
CDE Machinery will not offer SAOM machines just because
they are
in a manufacturing programme and we are more than willing to add or
remove features to enable the user to achieve productivity, space
and financial targets.
SAOM machines are heavy duty, with all three axes driven
by
precision ballscrews, and components from leading manufacturers
represented in the UK.

SAOM CNC routers have recently been
installed at a number of locations in the UK,
including a twin head machine at The Royal
National Theatre workshops in London and
a 5 axis model at a specialist joinery
company in Lancashire.

A twin table machining
centre with two 5 axis heads is fully operational
at the premises of a leading international supplier of sports
equipment.
This project, managed by CDE, brought together SAOM machine
technology with specialist tooling and software to provide a completely
new manufacturing concept that has resulted in significant cost
savings,
increased output and a variety of exciting marketing opportunities.
SAOM CNC routers with directly driven (4th) horizontal axes are
in use at a number of UK locations. |

A machine with a directly driven (4th) horizontal
axis is operational in the North West and other
SAOM CNC routers are located in the Midlands
and the South. SAOM's unique feature of a directly
driven twin exit horizontal head is of particular
benefit when needing to machine lock or other
apertures, achieving the depth & finish in a fraction
of the time if an aggregate were used.

Now available in the UK is an extensive range of CNC machining
centres
for door manufacturers, ranging from two head machines incorporating
the SAOM twin exit horizontal motor to routers with 2 vertical and
two horizontal heads up to fully automated units for either doors,
frames or complete doorsets. These machines have been developed in
partnership with large door manufacturers in Europe and will be
offered customised to meet the needs of UK manufacturers, their
purchase justified by their ability to reduce cycle times resulting
in lower unit costs.
It's difficult to buy a bad machine,
but too easy to buy the wrong machine!
